Core De Force is the newest home fitness program by Beachbody.  It is an MMA style workout program that will transform your entire body in 30 days.


OMGEEEEE!!!!!! I have been waiting for this for MONTHS! Since this program was announced in July when I was in Nashville for the Beachbody Coach Summit,  I have been dying to get my hands on it!  I was able to preview a round of the workouts and it was AMAZING! I was sweating like crazy, and was so sore then next day.  I really felt it in my core, which for us moms thats usually the hardest part to tone!

Core De Force is a mixed martial arts style workout program that will transform your entire body in 30 days.  In 3-minute “rounds” you’ll get Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai knee-elbow combinations, bodyweight training, and cardio spikes—all designed to help you lose the belly and shred body fat. So What is it All About?


Core De Force is a 30 day total body transformation program.  Created by super trainers Joel Freeman and Jericho McMatthews, it is the ultimate mixed martial arts-inspired workout to help you get rid of belly fat, define your midsection, and tighten and tone your entire body.  

Using bodyweight training and cardio conditioning, you will work your core from every angle.  This is what Joel and Jericho call "360 Degree Core Training".  Each workout is broken down into 3 minute "rounds".  So just focus on hitting it hard for 3 minutes at a time and the workout is over before you know it! 

I love that there is a modifier in every workout and a "Learn it & Work it" section at the beginning of each workout so you can get the moves down before you start.  This was really helpful for me since I have absolutely zero experience with MMA fighting or any kind of martial arts.  The routines are not choreographed to a beat, so you can follow at your own pace.  As you get stronger you can push yourself more!

Its also great that there is no equipment needed.  This is awesome for people who are on a budget, or who like me do their workouts in a tiny corner of their living room ;).   This also makes it really easy if you are travelling through the holidays and need to do your workout in a hotel room.



Core De Force will help you let go every excuse you have been holding on to from starting your fitness journey.  It is SIMPLE! All you have to do is SHOW UP  and PRESS PLAY on your daily workout!  Then just follow along and get ready to kick some serious butt!




Who is Core De Force For?


The short answer is EVERYONE!  Whether you are a beginning looking to kick your fitness up  notch, or at an advanced fitness level looking to improve your cardiovascular endurance, strength and speed.  

The workouts are challenging, but with the modifier and the move breakdowns anyone can do this workout at their own pace until you are ready to take things to the next level.  



What Do I Eat?


The nutrition plan in Core De Force was created to be simple and easy to follow.  You will be eating clean, whole foods, that will be easily measured out in the proper portions to ensure that your body is getting the adequate fuel for your workouts.  Following this balanced nutrition plan will help you get the most out of your program.  Your nutrition is 80% of your fitness efforts so make sure you commit to this part 100%!

This program follows the portion fix system, where each food group is measured out in colour coded containers.  Each food category is explained to you in detail.  This plan is meant to be EASY and will not be overwhelming.  Also, during the test group I will be walking you through the nutrition plan and showing you how to create a meal plan that gives you flexibility to enjoy things you love, but still keeping on track with your goals.







How Long Are The Workouts?



The workouts are 30-45 minutes in length and you workout 6 days a week with a stretch on the 7th.  The workout program is 30 days in length.

There are 8 workouts in the program

MMA Speed- Upper body and core focused boxing influenced workout. (27 minutes)

MMA Shred- Muay Thai inspired elbow and kicks for total body shred. (37 minutes)

MMA Power- Uses explosive and defensive style movements in this fast paced cardio conditioning workout (47 minutes)

MMA Plyo- Core De Force is an MMA style home fitness program that will transform your entire body in 30 days.   When you combine boxing, Muay Thai and plyometrics in one workout you get a huge calorie burn and RESULTS. (47 minutes)

Power Sculpt- Total body burner that uses explosive power and interval training to lean and sculpt.  (37 minutes)

Dynamic Strength- Low on impact but high on intensity. (47 minutes)

Active Recovery- Recharge for the week ahead with this rest day that focuses on form and technique to help fight fatigue and sore muscles. (21 minutes)

Core De Force Relief- A quick 5 minutes stretch before bed session. (5 minutes)

Team Beachbody Exclusive MMA Mashup– All the best Core De Force moves in one workout.  (26 minutes)

Core Kinetics- A unique core workout inspired by Mixed Martial Arts movements.

5 minute Core on the Floor- the ultimate core finisher- 5 minute challenging plank movements that gets your abs on fire.

Agility Strength- combines fast footwork drills with body weight resistance to help improve coordination and blast major calories.  (9 rounds- 37 minutes).

Agility Power- Grab your agility ladder and rip through multifunctional training that ignites every muscle and helps shred fat for serious definition (6 rounds-27 minutes).

MMA Kick Butt- This workout is meant to target your legs and butt with nonstop mix of powerful kicks and calorie burning conditioning spikes (9 rounds- 37 minutes).

Butternut Squash Soup


Fall is in the air today! 🍁🍂 

My first attempt at butternut squash soup and it's SO GOOD!! 


Recipe: 

1 medium to large butternut squash, peeled and chopped
2 sweet potatoes peeled and chopped
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves chopped
2 tbsp butter or ghee
8 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 cup almond or coconut milk
1/4 tsp ginger
Salt and pepper to taste

In a large pot melt the butter, and cook the onions, garlic and carrots until soft

Add the butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and chicken broth. Simmer until the veggies have softened (about 30 minutes)

Purée the soup in a blender (use caution as it will be very hot!) and return to the pot. Whisk in the almond milk and the spices. Bring to a simmer for a few more minutes. Taste and adjust the spices as needed 👌🏻

Honey Lime Vinigarette


This was to delicious not to share!!! 

Honey Lime Vinaigrette


1/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons raw honey
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Shake in a mason jar or blend in a blender!
